Personal Project, Editorial Design
2024
This book was created in memory of my grandmother after her passing. I collected and curated all of her paintings into a visual narrative of her life, turning the project into both a memorial and a way for the family to gather around her art.
The focus of the design was on layout, typography, and material choices to create something personal and timeless. The book is hardcover, printed on high gloss paper to give a sense of luxury and durability, intended to last and be passed on through generations.
I chose a minimalist design to let the paintings take center stage. Color combinations and tonal groupings were carefully considered to create harmony, while cropping highlighted striking details of each piece. To give the artworks more personality and context, I also titled every painting, transforming the collection into a cohesive visual narrative.
