VIERLIVE puts live music streaming at the center. But what happens when the stream is over or before it even starts? How do we create digital fan experiences that go beyond likes and comments? Which digital features can build stronger connections and genuine moments that are fun for both artists and fans?
Fanspace is a digital experience designed to bring fans closer to their favorite artists before and after livestreams. While the platform offers social features such as chat, polls, Q&As, and fan art, the core experience is Backstage, an exclusive opportunity for fans to connect one-on-one with artists.
Through Backstage, fans can obtain a personal interaction with their favorite artist and capture a virtual selfie together. The selfie can be customized with VIERLIVE templates and shared on social media, creating a lasting digital memory while increasing the platform's visibility.
Our research into fan culture revealed that personal interactions and meaningful keepsakes play an important role in strengthening fan–artist relationships. These insights shaped the Backstage experience, balancing emotional value for fans with opportunities for VIERLIVE to expand its reach.
Our design process included desk research, competitor analysis, interviews with fans, artists, and VIERLIVE users, a co-creation workshop, and several rounds of user testing to develop and refine the experience.
We arranged workeshop with VIERLIVE! We created three focus areas based on our insight. Our user journey shows possible steps, before and after the livestrem.
Fanspace offers value for both fan, artist and VIERLIVE.
